Eric Piper Builds Adirondack Homes With Fine Precision
With an Adirondack Retreat on Friends Lake, Mike and Peggy say:
"We were lucky enough to be introduced to Eric Piper of Piper Contracting ten years ago. He built our home on Friends Lake and we have since contracted with him to have an addition and garage built on the property as well. Eric and his staff are experienced craftsmen and are a pleasure to plan and work with. They are courteous, accommodating, and build a superior product. Have Piper Contracting build your home! You will not be disappointed with the result."

John & Rose of Minerva, New York in the Adirondacks give praise, saying:
"
Once again, you have done a magnificent job on our two additions and kitchen renovation. The workmanship is superior and was done by one of the great craftsmen and crew of the Adirondacks. Your crew was a pleasure to work with, very professional, accommodating and talented. The log work is spectacular and draws comments from all!!"

William Bateson, AIA of WMB Architecture in New York City says:
"
The Piper Contracting team paid consistently close attention to interior woodworking and finishes where they showed creativity, finesse, enthusiasm and good judgement.
They also showed creativity, determination and initiative assembling the large and complicated porch roof structure from over-sized pressure-treated materials in a remote location."

Renowned American Architect Duo Dickinson shares:
"
On a stringent budget Eric Piper created a home that has no hint of the budgetary micromanagement. Rather than use cost as an excuse to do uninspired detailing, Eric took our designs to another level of crafty expression, using local materials and good old fashioned care and skill. His diligence, honesty and knowledge gave our design a chance to shine, and I would recommend him highly for any project."

Gregory Taylor, a good friend and owner of The Fern Lodge on Friends Lake in the Adirondack Mountains, shares:
"
I have known Eric Piper for 38 years. I also have been in the building industry as a masonry contractor, building large commercial projects as well as multiple residential projects. That is why, when I built my house and our business (The Fern Lodge) on Friends Lake www.thefernlodge.com, we chose Piper Contracting. Eric has a great eye for what the customer wants, as well as a great understanding of the best way to get a project done on time and within budget. He and his men are all great craftsmen. He has a great stable of qualified subcontractors, each with long histories. I feel confident in saying he is one of the Adirondack’s top builders and I would never hesitate to use him on any of my building projects."

Holly and Terry have an Adirondack cabin in North Creek, and tell us:
"Piper Construction did outstanding work on our North Creek cabin. Designed by architect Duo Dickinson, who has a national reputation for his design of small houses, our house specs called for four bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, and a very large screened deck. We were especially keen for a rustic Adirondack look. But the challenge—we had a very tight budget. We accepted Piper’s competitive bid not only for price but because Eric Piper caught the vision we wanted for a vacation home and made many creative proposals on how to achieve this. He proposed to replace synthetic siding with Adirondack pine slab siding at no additional cost. He proposed to replace wall board downstairs with an Adirondack pine V-groove interior without cost for the public areas, and at reasonable additional cost if we wanted the whole downstairs in V-groove. At no additional cost, he replaced conventional exterior corner supports with weight-bearing and decorative tree trunks. We accepted his very reasonable price to create a beautiful kitchen with two superb rustic effects: 2” thick pine counters and magnificent slab cedar doors for all cupboards. The combined effect is dramatic, as everyone remarks. At no extra cost he took the same concept and applied it to the bathrooms. The overall effect has been to transform a superbly designed house into a truly Adirondack camp. Piper also proposed an alternative method of heating that was more costly upfront but has proved to be very cost effective to keep the cabin heated all year around. The result has been a vacation home that gives us far more than we ever imagined we could obtain for the price. We now join others in the community who highly recommended Piper and his team. We’re enthusiastic about Piper Construction!"
